On December 11, Green Talent held a two-hour online workshop attended by Widening Countries’ PAR members, gathering together representatives of 40 diverse organisations from academia, industry, NGOs and public sector. Organised by The Cyprus Institute, the workshop focused on collaborating participants across sectors to shape the Green Talent sectoral questionnaires, as well as facilitating cross-sector exchange, where members from each sector reviewed and commented on the outcomes and suggestions from other sectors’ representatives.
The webinar began with an introductory presentation on the project’s goals and activities, followed by discussions in break-out rooms per sector, where participants were divided into groups to evaluate and share insights on potential topics that could be relevant to their work. In the last part, participants were involved in an activity, fostering an interdisciplinary exchange of perspectives for all sectors. The webinar’s organisation allowed for a dynamic and productive session, where every participant was offered the opportunity to connect with other PAR group members, share ideas, and explore what potential capacities could impact their work within and outside the project. The workshop closed with a final discussion, reflecting on the suggestions given, as well as on further steps that need to be taken in the context of biodiversity and climate change capacity-building in Widening Countries.
